We are looking for an Electrical Technologist – Instrumentation and Controls to join our Technical Services Team. This professional team is comprised of experienced Engineers and Technologists who form a tightly-knit team to work on water, waste-water and industrial systems across BC and Canada.

 

This position will be based out of ICI Electrical Engineering’s office in Kamloops with work throughout the province. The successful candidate will be comfortable programming and troubleshooting PLC and SCADA systems while working safely on remote sites. Creative thinking and electrical problem-solving skills will be tested during the interview process.

Minimum Requirements We Are Looking For:

  • Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent

  • Currently registered or eligible for professional registration with ASTTBC

  • Hands-on experience commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting of control systems

  • Programming experience with Schneider Automation

    • EcoStruxure Control Expert (Unity)

    • Citect or Wonderware

    • Vijeo Designer

  • Experience with programming and configuration of process drives

  • Instrumentation experience, specifically, device level networks, calibration and specification.

  • Personal interest in working with computers and electronics

  • Windows PC and AutoCAD proficiency

  • Excellent site safety awareness

  • Fluent in English, both written and oral

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present technical information to a variety of audiences

  • Valid, clean Class 5 Drivers’ Licence and access to safe, reliable, 4-season transportation

  • Based out of the Kamloops office and available to travel 50% of the time

  • Previous consulting experience and industry training will be considered an asset
